I enjoyed the previous location quite a bit as a chill low cost easy food pickup. I pretty much only got the Lemongrass vermicelli. So to give this change a chance I tried the chicken vermicelli here. Off the bat the prices a quite a bit more which already raised red flags for me and demanded higher quality. Unfortunately I was left wholly underwhelmed. The chicken in this dish is all thigh meat vs breast which is a cheaper cut as well as quite fatty pieces. The seasoning was very bland. The sauce was underwhelming and bland. There was quite a bit more sauce but all that adds is more watery flavor. You get very few pieces of chicken for the 6 dollar price difference and instead get 4 spring rolls cut in half which were cold and soggy and again lacked any real flavor. I thankfully had my own sauces at home to try and balance this dish to eat as a leftover but after the first unsavory stringy chicken bite I was pretty much done with it. I won't be going back. My partner tried their standard bahn no and was also left underwhelmed for a higher cost. Little to no flavor and again more cost. The grilled chicken over vermicelli was absolutely delicious! The chicken was perfectly grilled, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The vermicelli was fresh and paired perfectly with the crisp lettuce, cucumber, and carrots. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well prepared, and the portion size was very generous. I would definitely order this again and highly recommend it!

This spot replaced the very lowkey pho restaurant that was originally here but now offering diff things on the menu, & there’s some pics on the menu which is helpful. I usually always get grilled chicken pho but got a curry chicken with vermicelli this time since on the menu picture, the curry looked red and I’ve never had that before.. but when I got it, I was surprised — it’s just your standard Asian chicken curry. Chicken was very tender, flavor was good. Unfortunately, some pieces were still cold. Thought maybe the vermicelli is cold but actually inside aka the bone was cold so the chicken just wasn’t heated up long enough

Best pho around, authentic and they use tripe and tendon, unlike many other places in Astoria. Only pho spot I will be going in Astoria!
